My place is close to the city center of Slaton across from the Slaton Bakery where you can buy bakery items and sandwiches. Slaton is approx 12 miles from Lubbock Texas where you'll find movie theatres, TTU, art and culture, great restaurants and dining.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers, families with older children. Before we acquired this building it was the Slaton Chamber of Commerce. The downstairs section is rented to a company that uses the space for only 3 individuals that are there only during the day, Monday through Friday. I am required to collect a 7% city tax on all reservations, HomeAway does not collect that upfront for me so please understand that I will need to collect that directly from you. We want you to feel very much at home during your stay. Treat our place just like you would visiting with friends, No drunken dramas please, tracking mud or burning our pots on the stove, or smoking indoors obviously. Notify us if something breaks so we don't have to discover it. Respect the home as we've done and keep things as tidy as you find them. Please wash your own dishes. Take out trash, dumpster is around front and to the left of building. Use any non-perishable food items in cupboards and leave purchased items as you choose.
